Disaster Recovery Plans Continuing for all areas
10/12/2011 - All areas have finished preparing their initial Business Continuity Plans and we are developing the final documentation for the System Recovery portion of our DR plans. A redundant backbone connection is being installed in Shields building which will provide immediate access in our alternate facilities should a disaster occur. The backbone installation and configuration is expected to be completed by the end of this calendar year.
Docfinity Image System Upgrade
12/9/2011 - We are piloiting the new version 10 software with the Accounting images in a few areas while we finish a few modifications to the environment. We are expecting to roll-out the version 10 interface with Accounting images to the rest of the Docfinity user-base in the first quarter of 2012.
10/12/2011 - We are making final arrangements to begin piloting searching for the accounting docs on the new Docfinity v10 system.
8/1/2011 - The first area (accounting) is ready for final migration. A 'go-live' date will be announced soon.
6/20/2011 - The Accounting area migration is almost completed and we are planning to go live with the new system for Accounting images in early July.
5/4/2011 - The initial Docfinity v10 migration is planned for May 5th for the Accounting Operations images.
4/12/2011 - The Docfinity v 10 production site is now operational and ready to begin migrating data and images for Accounting Operations once data verification on the test system is completed.
3/23/2011 - The Docfinity v10 test site is now operational and testing is almost completed. Currently the Accounting Operations test migration data is being verified prior to migrating our production data to the v10 system. The v10 production site is ready except the installation of WebAccess. IIS v7 requires a new version of WebAccess and there have been a couple of issues to work through with the installation. We expect the production site to be fully operational and ready to receive the Accounting Operations data in April.
2/1/2011 - The new Docfinity v10 server is installed and is being configured now. We are expecting to begin the migration of Accounting Operations images later this month followed by Payroll and then the remaining imaging areas. The new interface is completely web-based and should provide users with a much easier to use environment.
1/12/2011 - The new version (version 10.x) from Docfinity provides a completely web-browser based interface along with many new features. FIS has been working with the vendor to plan the migration of all Docfinity areas to the new version by the summer of 2011. Accounting Operation will be the first to migrate to the new system (virtual server based, of course!) in the next month or so, followed by Payroll and so on. Check back for updates on this project!
